As democracy requires a separation of religion and state, so democracy requires a separation of corporations(private money) and state. Furthermore, corporations are not human beings and they do not have the natural rights that human beings have. Their freedom should be restrained, so they will be subject to the rule of just law and be restrained from commiting harm upon the environment, upon humanity, or upon the other species of our planet.
That link comes up empty now, and a search for the title of the petition doesn’t find it. I signed it earlier today, and compared the link I publicized afterward to yours. They’re the same.
